Being one of the events during the Career Week of The Better You Series, EMBARK College held an eye-opening event that took place on June 10, 2025, between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM with the name of Introduction to Career Guidance. The teacher leading the session was Mr. Amish Poudel, who, as Program Officer of PCGS Project at Glocal Pvt. Ltd., carried with him a bundle of experience and streetwise knowledge to the discussion. Dedicated to educating the learners on becoming more conscious when choosing their careers, the session became a significant milestone on the path to self-discovery and future planning of the students.
He also addressed various career pathways that people could take in modern times, non-traditional careers, and careers in the newest industries. By not stepping into a traditional profession, such as engineering, medicine, or banking, Mr. Poudel also expanded the scope of students. He emphasized the point that no discipline is better than another and that one should match the personality and interest with professional possibilities to be successful.
During the session, Mr. Poudel gave numerous personal examples of the students he helped (who switched up their careers altogether once they met with proper advice). These stories added a humanity to the practice, which students need to be reminded that career success is very personalized, and does not always follow a certain straight path.
What made the session interactive in nature is that students could use the given time to ask questions and address any uncertainties they had. Mr. The session began with Mr. Poudel discussing one of the truths that were relatively well known The anxiety and the confusion that all of us have been facing at one point (or the other) in regard to career choices. He confessed that the influencing factors that impair the judgment of the young people as far as professional direction is concerned vary between family expectation and peer influence among others. His approachable and likable voice reassured students that they can get lost, and it is normal but a guide will help them to come out of their confusion and shine the light.

At the completion of the one-hour session students acquired a better laid out understanding of what career guidance entails. They have departed with the notion that career is not all about the choices we can make upon graduating from high school or college; it is about how we can become a person who makes better decisions in the future.
Once again, it proved to be its worth to the mission of EMBARK College in terms of bringing forth the self-conscious, future-minded individuals in the field of professionals. Under the leadership displayed by Mr. Poudel, learners had taken the first major step of determining a career choice that was not only strategic but also real. Career Guidance was the introduction of the seeds of self-evaluation and purpose and the opportunity that every student needs to look inward and to have the confidence of the course that lays ahead of them.
