On June 6, 2025, EMBARK College closed its Mental Health & Wellness Week with an informative event called “The Better You Series.” Dr. Deepak Regmi, Senior Consultant at Norvic International Hospital, gave the keynote address during the session, which ran from 6:00 to 7:00 PM and was titled “Mind & Body: Explore the Connection Between Physical Health and Mental Well-Being, Discover Strategies to Help Everyone With Both Physical and Emotional Balance.” After attending Tristan’s workshop, the audience was inspired, and it seemed his presentation was a perfect way to conclude the week.
The idea that physical health impacts mental health and mental health can affect physical health, was the main theme of the talk. Dr. Regmi explained that there is a strong connection between mental health and physical well-being, as pressure can result in sickness and illness may cause additional issues for mental wellness. He pointed out that our body and mind work as one system, which encouraged the audience to reflect. Using this approach, he helped everyone understand health in a wider sense.
The gathering was organized so that it shared both knowledge and tactics you can use. According to Dr. Regmi, stress makes our bodies produce cortisol and because of this, stress can result in high blood pressure and weaker immune responses. He pointed out that physical exercise increases endorphins, leaving people happier and less worried. The audience was able to understand why it is important to combine physical and mental health techniques for a healthy life.

Experts stressed methods that could help actualize a good balance. Dr. He suggested practicing regular exercise, carefully watching what and how much you eat, and finding ways to handle stress. He advised people to start by walking 20 minutes each day and adding more whole foods to their meals for a healthier body. He believed meditation and journaling were beneficial for people’s mental health. A student in the audience wanted to know how to keep their good habits during exams. Dr. Much of the audience liked the answer Regmi offered about taking short walks between sessions.
He mentioned that getting proper sleep is essential for keeping both our body and mind healthy. He explained that neglected sleep affects brain and emotion management, but getting enough sleep each day makes a person handle pressures more easily. He suggested limiting your use of screens before going to sleep and creating a relaxing way to end the day. A lot of people talked about how they sleep after watching that part and decided to make some adjustments.
Dr. Regmi asked everyone to do a short exercise to prove how movement can release tension instantly. People became more relaxed after participating in this activity. He urged everyone present to practice gratitude, as it is good for mental health, and encouraged them to jot down three things they valued each day. This activity created a positive mood, which suited the session’s overall goal.
EMBARK College provided an appropriate environment for the event. The place was bright and neatly organized, which helped to create a warm and comfortable spot for learning and reflection. The crowd, made up of students, faculty, and people from the community, asked intelligent questions during the Q&A. One of those present asked about dealing with both chronic pain and mental health problems.. Dr. Regmi addressed the issue by pointing out gentle motions, professional help, and ways to control stress, which reflected his ability and care for his patient.
Dr. Deepak Regmi reminded the crowd at the end of the session: “Balance happens when you begin with little efforts to care for yourself, including your mind and body each day.” His talk helped people at the event realize the importance of a total health approach. It was a meaningful end to Mental Health & Wellness Week, as the event at EMBARK College combined facts with useful advice. On the day, those who attended felt the event was very meaningful and marked one of the best moments in the “Better You Series.” At the end of the week, this session with Dr. Regmi reminded us how closely the mind and body connect and encouraged everyone to take care of their well-being.
